I absolutely agree with Perry! This is a little gem tucked along the coast. I had the Grouper Pralinete which is not the menu, probably one of the best grouper I've evet had in Florida. My husband had the filet which was melt in your mouth butter and taste. Plan on going back every time I go back to the coast!

My husband and I took a later afternoon trip to Panama City Beach recently and planned to stop for dinner along the way. We decided to stop at The Terrace because it always seems to be busy for dinner and it's located quite a way out of town. That means it must be worth a try. We were not disappointed! Food was outstanding along with the service! We enjoy family owned establishments that take pride in their work. It shows here! Everyone was very attentive to any requests that we made and answered any questions that we had! If you find yourself anywhere between Destin and Panama City Beach looking for a quiet romantic place for dinner, stop here! Plan ahead for some extra time for dinner. Like in Europe, dinner is served with time to enjoy your food and company. Don't mistake this for slow service...there is a difference.

I will let you find the good, the bad, and ugly in this review... -called a month before to schedule my anniversary dinner, and again a week before just to ensure we were still on for g good seat available. Arrived at 645pm, (reservation for 7) was not greeted by a host or hostess, waited 15 mins and had to actually stop a server passing by, explained the situation stated above and was asked "well do you have a reservation?" We were put in a small booth in the back corner of the restaurant(passing seats with "reserved" signs), mind you she had a nice dress on and I was actually wearing a custom 3pc suit... Ordered drinks, and a bottle of wine did not get the drinks for 30 mins, the wrong bottle of wine showed up twice.... Purposely ordered two different appetizers; calamari came out cold and chewy the other hot, which meant it sat quite some time. No starter plate, Server was barely present, entrees came out a different times and lacked flavor. This is not how any customer should ever be treated. Was so disappointed did not order dessert. Never saw the manager or assistant manager during the two hour fiasco. Paid for our expensive dinner, left a 10% tip(the server is hardly ever to blame) and left. Bottom line: shabby to mediocre service and food quality of food: blan quantity: reasonable price: if the food was better I would understand the price.... Over $160 for dinner with two and drinks/wine This place needs to have better standards and understanding of service in the front and back of the house. I have had worse, but I have definitely had better.... for less, closer to home could honestly do better myself in my own home. I'm also a local...

Went there about 4 or 5 years ago for a to go order. Waiter was very nice. That was because he new he was going to rob me. He changed the tip amount and added $ 10 on. Needless to say I never went back. I do not care how good the food is or how close it is to me.

Our favorite restaurant! Every item on the menu is wonderful. Favorite items are baked oysters, mushroom soup, steak, lamb, & grouper. You will enjoy dinning at this great restaurant. Friendly family operated establishment.

TERRIBLE SERVICE & EXTREMELY RUDE to customers!!! They should be ASHAMED of themselves!!! Made reservations for 7pm & at 9pm still had no entrees!! They claimed because we ordered an appetizer that was the reason for the wait. Seriously, an hour & 1/2 later no entrees & no waitress & no apology! We were ready to leave & pay for what we ate & drank, but they THREATENED to CALL the POLICE if we did not pay for our entrees that we NEVER GOT!!! We were told by a waitress there that this happens on a regular basis at least 1 table per night! Restaurant was half empty on the busiest week of the year (4th of July), that should say something right there. Overheard another table of 6 that they had not seen a server in over 20 minutes! We paid for our drinks, appetizer, they charged us for our bread & the side salads were the cost of the entrees that we never got! PLUS THEY CHARGED US A 20% TIP after all that! BUT, gratuity is added on to tables of 5 or more & we had a family of 4! We were calm but could not believe how the owner & manager were screaming at us in front of the children. We were just appald & have never experienced such rude behavior!!! Clearly lacking in true southern hospitality!

I've been coming to 30A for decades and can't believe I didn't know about this gem in operation since 1990. Awesome! One look at the martini menu and it was clear that the restaurant has a sophisticated palate, is dedicated to quality and is most certainly not a chain. All seemed prepared on site by the warm and genuine family members who operate as chef, hostess and staff. We were in heaven with our baked oysters, and shrimp and grouper entree. I heard the table next to us complement their steaks as the best they had ever had. The ambience is calm. The decor is not to my taste and I suspect it is what keeps this restaurant under the radar. It's goal is to simulate an upscale Italian bistro but plastic ivy never works and given changing demographics in 30A, a makeover is long over due. The quality of the decor is simply is a mismatch to the quality of cuisine. There are three rooms. The owners seem to seat an older clientele in the room with a full bar which is too close to the tables to be enjoyed with a sense of privacy. Families and larger parties seem led to the main room in the middle. Couples are escorted to the private booths in the back. The price was very reasonable. We shared an appetizer, dessert and entree and added two glasses of house wine, one martini, and two salads and came in under $100 sans tip. I am heartened by the knowledge that the only other reviewer gave Terrace 5 stars two years ago as perhaps an indication that the quality remains consistent . I feel bolstered in this hope by knowing that the family owns and operates. It's our new "go to" in 30A. As a comparison, Cafe Tango is my sense of Terrace's closest rival in terms of quality and service. Yet Terrace is a secret.....
